Maintain our web site, enabling us to unite local Christian organizations in their mission of impacting their local communities with the love of Christ.

This position has a time requirement of approximately 8 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Uploading information created in-house.
  • Identifying content needs and planning for future links.
  • Ensuring consistency in both style and message.
  • Maintaining editorial and content management databases

Qualifications:

  • Web content experience necessary.
  • Editorial experience for an online service or web site.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • PC proficiency (MS Office, Desktop Publishing, and Internet)
  • Deadline and results oriented.
  • Knowledge of and respect for churches being served.
  • A strong desire to help CA in its mission to help churches start mentoring ministries for women in crisis pregnancy. 
  • Experience in video and broadcast a definite plus!

Coordinate and edit our web site and printed media; reaching current and prospective Christians Alliance supporters with promotional literature.

Help us spread our organizational message effectively and efficiently by coordinating and editing our monthly newsletter, web site and print media.

This position has a time requirement of approximately 8 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Editing newsletters, website content, grant applications, press releases, public service announcements, fliers and advertisements for events or volunteer recruitment.
  • Recruit freelance writers and assign and edit stories. 
  • Monitor written and electronic media for pertinent articles and trends.
  • Respond to newspaper articles, external discussion board posts, and media requests helping gain exposure for Christians Alliance.
  • Soliciting articles or stories for organizational newsletter.

Qualifications:

Dedicated people needed to help in our home office in Middletown, CT. or remotely.

Copying, stuffing, talking, sharing… if you can do any of these we need your help! We are looking for people to build and foster relationships with Churches in their own community.

Community Volunteers play a significant role in creating a bond between children who need God’s love, and children that want to share His love.

This position has a time requirement of approximately 8 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Visiting churches and evaluating potential involvement opportunities with Christians Alliance (CA).
  • Providing churches with appropriate resources and involvement opportunities.
  • Serving as primary person responsible for regular communication, program involvement and partnership opportunities to schools in your community.
  • Creating and maintaining relationships with church Liaisons who will foster the message and vision of CA within their parish.
  • Collaborating with Community Leader and Church Liaisons to ensure area goals are met.

Recruit and coordinate community leaders and other key volunteers.

Strategic planning with the Executive Director of Christians Alliance to create a grassroots network of volunteers nationwide. 

This position has a time requirement of approximately 24 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Strategic planning with Executive Director of Christians Alliance.
  • Recruiting and coordinating Community Leaders and other key volunteers throughout the country.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in community mobilization and volunteer recruitment.
  • Excellent community and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in teams.
  • Strong computer skills.

Plan and implement strategies for sharing the vision of Christians Alliance through various media.

We are looking for a Public Relations Specialist at our Middletown, CT headquarters. This person will write press releases, develop media contacts, and coordinate Christians Alliance (CA) public relations initiatives.

This position has a time requirement of approximately 8 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing a national public relations strategy, including developing a reporting system to analyze success of various public relations activities.
  • Coordinating public relations events and interacting with vendors to ensure efficient and effective impact of promotion/event.
  • Complete oversight of assigned projects, including working with volunteers and troubleshooting.
  • Developing and maintaining media contacts and pitching media for story placement, as well as responding to media inquiries or media crisis situations.
  • Utilizing public relations activities to support CA’s donation and volunteer recruitment efforts.
  • Building CA identity and company awareness, as well as provide positive public relations for helping CA Workshops to build company credibility.
  • Work with media to attend CA Workshops. This will include providing on-site workshop participation to media regarding interviews and press passes.
  • Work with Volunteer Coordinator to plan project and event volunteer needs.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, or related field.
  • Two to three years experience in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations or similar field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to write press releases and other forms of communication documents such as articles for newsletters.
  • Ability to conduct presentations with exceptional business skills.
  • Strong creative writing and proofreading skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully pitch news stories and/or press releases to media.
  • Ability to plan, organize and implement special events.
  • Ability to work as a team player, including motivating other volunteer team members.
  • Ability to maintain multiple database files.
  • Strong planning, organizing, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and to be detail-oriented.

Help recruit and manage a stable of local speakers that will share the good work that Christians Alliance is doing.

Christians Alliance is looking for people to utilize their personal and organizational skills to facilitate our Guest Speaker program in their area. You can play a key role in spreading the message and vision of Christians Alliance.

As Guest Speaker Coordinator, you will have the opportunity to build important relationships between Christians Alliance, its Guest Speakers, and the local community. 

This position has a time requirement of approximately 8 hours per week.

Responsibilities include:

  • Recruiting a stable of speakers from various Christian organizations that can promote the
    idea and benefits of a unified Christian community.
  • Coordinating Guest Speakers’ schedules.
  • Notifying Guest Speakers of speaking opportunities.
  • Coordinating events for Speakers including confirming dates with venue and Speaker,
    restocking Speaker’s supply of print and/or other materials as needed

Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of and respect for churches being served.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or experience in Communications, Marketing or related field preferred.
